hi im corey lewis, a seattle-based comic book creator. for the last ten years i've written and drawn my own comics right here in seattle. I have a graphic novel series called Sharknife and some self-published comic zines called Layered Jacket, Sun Bakery and Arem.

Influences & Inspirations
I'm heavily inspired by comics from around the world; western superhero comics, european experimental comics and japanese manga. My two biggest comic artistic influences are Paul Pope (THB, Battling Boy) and Taiyo Matsumoto (Tekkonkinkreet). I am also heavily influenced by video games and tend to incorporate video game tropes in my comics.
What are you currently working on?
I'm currently working on a one-shot story about a space explorer that takes pictures of exotic space creatures called "Arem". It's inspired by the classic video game Metroid. I'm also working on a self-anthology of short stories called "Sun Bakery", and the 3rd entry in my Sharknife action graphic novel series.
Why should people vote for you?
I've been a Seattle comic book creator for ten years now-- I write and draw my own original comic stories featuring my own characters. Sometimes with a publisher, sometimes not. I'm fairly established but still living in the trenches of the freelance lifestyle (and loving it). I appreciate any support appreciators of fine comic art can give me :]
