Junko Mizuno, Osamu Tezuka, and Takashi Murakami, to name a few. Also folklore and ghost stories, and how those relate to modern life.
What are you currently working on?
A sequel to my first short-story comic "Will You Play With Me," a story about ghosts and bullies.
Why should people vote for you?
I want the opportunity to show people what I have to say. A lot of my work relates back to feelings of anger and loneliness, and I want to start a dialogue with those feelings in others. At the same time I want to make this message as cute as possible in order to reach younger kids who really need to hear it. Most of all I want the chance to make comics that are worth reading.
