A Brief Bio or Personal Summary
Nero O'Reilly is a short, excitable dude who lives in north Seattle with his boyfriend, two cats, and way too many comics. He's been working in the webcomic industry for three years at Slipshine, and has worked on many zines, anthologies, collections, what have you. He's a huge fan of spooky kitsch decorations, pho, and talking shop with other comics creators.

Influences & Inspirations
Downtown Seattle, the forests of northern Washington, zoos, bus rides, drink 'n' draw parties with friends, hugs from my partner, oddly colored rocks, animal bones, strong incense, old lithographs.
What are you currently working on?
Golden Trick!: my long running monthly comic on Slipshine, chronicling the adventures of two con men in a kabbalistic fantasy town. http://slipshine.net
Carnivore Planet: a weekly animal people webcomic about four anarchists trying to (very badly) pull off a kidnapping and ransom. http://carnivorepla.net
RRUFFURR ONLINE: a bi-annual webcomic anthology I co-edit, organize, and submit to, collecting the best and the brightest authors of the animal people comic phenomenon. http://www.rruffurronline.com
Why should people vote for you?
In an economy like ours, it's often very hard for freelance creators to have a chance to work on their own projects while constantly scrambling for more clients. If presented with this grant, I would use it to take a break from the endless freelance work to put out more Carnivore Planet pages, to help fund a hardcover print of RRUFFURR, and possibly to put a down payment on a warehouse rental to use as a studio with my friends.
