A Brief Bio or Personal Summary
I'm an illustrator and comic artist who's been living in the Seattle area for the past 10 years. So far my published work just includes a stint on "Wasteland," from Oni Press, and a webcomic published by Wizard's of the Coast, "A Rogue's Tale." I won last year's Russ Manning award, for "Most promising newcomer in comics." This year, I plan to make that list of published work (self or otherwise) rapidly expand!

Influences & Inspirations
It's a long list, but I'll summarize. It's a mashup of old-school Mad Magazine illustrators, early American painters, Disney films, European comic artists, and Mike Mignola types that crowd my brain everyday, telling me to get off my ass and do better.

What are you currently working on?
I'm currently working on a horror graphic novel for Oni Press, as well as prepping for launching my own webcomic this summer.
Why should people vote for you?
My dream has always been to have my own personal muddy hole in the ground, where I can make comics all day. If I were to win this grant, I could afford the needed shovel. A gold one.
